Captain Robert Haskell was born February 1692, the son of William Haskall and Ruth West of Beverly, Mass[1][2][3]
Robert was a Captain in the Beverly militia, a selectman, tax assessor, an overseer of the poor and a surveyor, among other offices[2][3]
On December 4, 1712, he married Mary Leach, the daughter of Robert and Hannah Leach of Manchester, Mass[4][5][2][3], and their children included[6]:
William, born 4 Nov 1713[6][7], who married Mary Lindall and Marcy Trask [2][3]
Robert, born on 29 Jul 1715[6], who married Mary Thorndike and died in Virginia in 1737/8[2][3]
Benjamin, born on 27 Jun 1717[6][7], who married Hannah Masters[2][3]
Paul, born on 17 Nov 1719[6][7], who married Mary Woodbury [2][3]
Ruth, born on 16 Nov 1721[6][7], who married Joseph Wood[2][3]
Mary (Leach) Haskell died 16 Nov 1721 in Beverly[2][3]
On March 14, 1724, Robert remarried Elizabeth Quarles of Ipswich[8][2][3], and their children included
Elizabeth, born Aug 5, 1726[6][7], who married Benjamin Woodberry[2][3]
Robert Haskell was buried 9 Apr 1776 at age 84[9][2][3]. An accurate transcript of his will is available on the Haskell family websites noted here[2][3]. The inventory of his estate was dated November 5, 1776, and his estate was administered May 5, 1777[7].
