Mary Haslam was born in 1893. She was the daughter of Daniel Haslam, a coal miner and Rachael Liptrot. In 1911, Mary was residing with her father, sister, brother-in-law and nephew in Oldham, Hollinwood, Oldham, Lancashire, England. She was 18-years-old and had a job as a mill operative in a cotton mill. [1] Mary's mother had previously passed away.
On December 30th 1916, Mary married John Woodhouse. The marriage took place in Prestwich, Glodwick, Lancashire. [2]
