Martha Hastings, daughter of Joseph Hastings and Martha Shepard, was born October 3, 1688, in Watertown, Massachusetts. ^{[1] [2]} [Born October 1687.^[3]]

She married in Watertown on September 15, 1714, Joseph Harrington, of Watertown, a blacksmith. ^{[1] [2] [3]}

All of the children were born in Watertown.^[2]

At some point they moved to Colchester, Connecticut.^[1][3] [Date not given.]

Daughter Ruth married in Watertown in 1753 and continued to live there.
