Biography

Edwin Hatch was born circa 1856 at New York, USA. He appeared on the census of 18 July 1860 with is parents, Edwin Hatch and Mary E. (Foster) Hatch, at Rochester, Monroe Co., New York.^[1] His father was killed in the US Civil War and he and his mother and step-father, appeared on the census of 17 Aug 1870 in the household of his grandmother, Huldah Griffin Foster, at Rochester, Monroe Co., New York.^[2]

Edwin married a 2nd time to Emma Ruggles, source listed below and had a son, Edward Jesse Hatch. He was murdered in Sioux City, Iowa, over a discrepancy playing cards.
