Joseph Hatch was born 7 Mar 1653/4 in Falmouth, MA.[1]

Joseph Hatch was one of the most distinquished of Jonathan's sons. At age 21 he served as a soldier in the King Philips Indian War. He was appointed a Lieutenant in the Militia in 1702, and later appointed Captain. He was noted for his skill in the use of a rifle in which he was never excelled. At an instance he could level with such precision, as to split an apple at the distance of 100 yards. No expedition against the Indians was made without him[2].

Hatch-3393 and Hatch-20 are not ready to be merged because: The birth and death years are different , the children are not the same. thank you for your time.....these 2 men need further investigation
Hatch-3393 and Hatch-20 appear to represent the same person because: Exact DOD and same child - Refer to the biography of Hatch-20 for conflicting dates of birth
I will approve the merge; however, I am concerned about the source in Hatch-2620. "Thomas Hatch of Barnstable" by Pack (starting at Pg 81) clearly shows Joseph as the son of Johnathan and Sarah (Rowley) Hatch. His son, Joseph (1689-1750) had a son named Lemuel, I believe the source in Hatch-2620 has the father and son confused.
Thanks . Maggie
