Biography

Joseph Hatch was born in Falmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts June 23, 1743. He was the son of Nathan Hatch and Jemima Smith Hatch.[1][2][3]

Joseph married, first, Anne Willey about 1764 in Hadlyme, New London County, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Abel Willey and Patience Beckwith. After her death, prior to 1789, he married, second, Ruth Kelley in Thornton, Grafton County, New Hampshire July 28, 1789. [4]

He was a captain in the Connecticut militia during the [2][1]

Joseph died in Thornton, New Hampshire, January 27, 1830 at the age of 86. He is buried in the Pine Grove Cemetery, in Thornton.[1]
