Biography

“The most senior Benjamin Hatch buried in the Hanover area is the son of Benjamin Hatch of Bolton, Connecticut, & his wife Sarah. He was born August 14, 1748,[1] and died in 1833. He was first married to Lucy Parks, who died in 1813" [Letter from Morgan R. Swan Phd. At the Dartmouth library, to RH 5/28/13]

A man named Ben Hatch was treasurer of the town of Hanover, New Hampshire, in 1790. Town minutes show that in March 1793 the town meeting adjourned to the home of Benjamin Hatch for refreshments. Hanover town records have 13 Hatch births between 1805 and 1832 and several marriages. Benjamin Hatch was born in Bolton, Connecticut, August 14, 1748. His parents were Benjamin and Sarah Hatch.

Coventry records show that a couple named Joseph and Mercy Hatch had three children (Amy, Joseph, and Mercy) between 1713 and 1719. A couple named Benjamin and Sarah Hatch had two children in 1750-52.
