He was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in September 1882.[1][2]
As a young man he served on a mission to the Kingdom of Hawai'i. He was called to serve on January 26, 1894, arrived in Hawai'i in February 1894, and returned on May 8, 1897.[1][5][2][4]
He married Patty Orrilla Sessions on February 23, 1898 in Salt Lake City, Utah.[6][2]
In 1900, they were called by the LDS church authorities to move to the Bighorn Basin in Wyoming and work on building a canal.[2][4]
He passed away from tetanus on October 21, 1907 in Byron, Big Horn County, Wyoming.[4][3]
