William Henry Hatfield, 78, of Excelsior Springs died Tuesday, March 18, 1969 at the Excelsior Springs hospital.
Mr. Hatfield was born December 8, 1879 in Ray county the son of Henry and Mary (Branson) Hatfield.
A retired coal miner and farmer, he was a resident of Clay and Ray counties all of his life.
He was a member of the Christian church at Rayville.
Surviving are two sons, Arnold Guy Hatfield, Woodland Hills, Calif., and Randolf Hatfield, Kansas City, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Russell, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Helen Lippincott, Long Beach, and Mrs. Gertrude Harp, North Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Claude Hatfield, Kansas City; and a sister, Mrs. Goldie Kalberloh, Excelsior Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Thursday at the Prichard funeral home with burial in the Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 o'clock tonight at the funeral home.
