24 Dec 1900 he married Grace M. Beson. The record shows he is 28 years old, birth year as 1872, and birthplace Iowa. Parents are listed as L.D. Hatfield and Parmtha (Parintha) Phelps. Record shows Grace M. Beason is 19 years old, date of birth 1881 in Conway, Iowa, and parents are W. M. Beson and Mariah Alloway.^[4]
