Biography

Caleb Hathaway is one of twins.
English flag
Caleb Hathaway has English ancestors.

Caleb was a twin to Joshua Hathaway. Originally, it was thought by our family, that Caleb was severally cut by an axe when he was only sixteen years old and died as a result of blood poisoning but new sources seem to contradict that and he has lived about double that age. The 1881 Census of Carleton Victoria Co New Brunswick Canada, suggests that Caleb was age 25, thereby making him having been born in 1855, Religion Freewill Christian Baptist. At this time, he was living in the Parish of Lorne, Victoria County, NB. In 1906 Caleb was the first on the list of donors to the new church (Everett United Church). The 1891 Census for New Brunswick Victoria Co. lists Elizabeth, his mother, and Caleb as living in the house of Charles Paget. He never married.

Caleb is last found on the 1911 Canada Census living in the home of Edward Knowlton
