Biography

Isabel Hathaway, daughter of Thomas Hathaway of Ruardean was born about 1364. Her age was given as 16 at the Inquisition post mortem for her father held at Ruardean on the 4th of February 1377 and she had sisters, Sibella 15 and Elena 13. However the Inquisitation held the previous day at Magna Dene listed the daughters as Elizabeth 10, Sibella 8, Elena 7 and Matilda 5. [1]

Isabel married Thomas Walwyn of Hellens, son of Richard Walwyn and his wife, Joan Helyon, by February 1382. She bore her husband 3 sons and 2 daughters. [2]

Thomas died in 1415 [2] survived by Isabel and several sons, Richard being his heir.[3]

Isabel died in 1430. [2]
