Biography

Bartholomäus Hauser was born on 25 Jul 1667 in Aldingen near Spaichingen, Württemberg, the son of Bartholomäus Hauser and his wife Maria^[1].

On 17 Nov 1696 he married Maria Elisabetha Warth^[2], the widow of Johann Laislin, like himself a surgeon in Untertürkheim.

Bartholomäus and Maria Elisabetha had three children:

1. Margreta Elisabetha (7 Apr 1699 - 24 Feb 1702);
2. Johann Friedrich Hauser (born 24 Oct 1700);
3. Margreta Elisabetha (born 13 Oct 1702).

Bartholomäus passed away on 27 Feb 1724^[3]. His burial record identifies him as a “famous and well-experienced surgeon and caring and well-liked mayor of this community”.
