Biography

Sarah was born in Needham, Massachusetts Bay on June 28, 1732. She was the daughter of Obadiah and Mary (Cobb) Hawes.

Sarah and Samuel Lauchlen filed their marriage intention in Dedham, Massachusetts Bay on October 9, 1757 and were married on November 3, 1757 by Rev. Jason Haven. Sarah and Samuel had five children including: Samuel b. Oct. 10, 1758; Mary b. May 15, 1760; Sarah b. December 15, 1761; Anna baptized February 2, 1766; and Nathaniel baptized June 19, 1768.

Sarah passed away after 1810. It appears by deeds that Sarah and Samuel removed from Roxbury to Nashua, New Hampshire. Sarah was noted as a widow in Samuel's application for pension and Samuel passed away in 1810, otherwise, no date for Sarah's death has been found.
