Biography
Tabitha Evaline Hawes b. 14 June 1814 married Hugh Thally Coston b. 22 June 1808
Her parents: Father: Samuel Hawes (1775-1816) Mother: Ann Julia Davis (1788-1836) I have his will dated 20 November 1815 in New Hanover County, North Carolina. He left his house, property and cattle to for her use during her lifetime. Other property to be equally divided between the other lawful heirs. My friends Canoch Herring and William Batty are to be executors of this estate. Will was signed with and "X" and witnessed by J.C. Devane and Thomas Farrot. May term 1816 Recorded in Book A page 422 She and H.T. brought their family to Leon Co. Tx. in the mid 1850. Their names show up in lot's of records at the courthouse. He died in 1857, probate papers, she is not mentioned so obivously already gone. Confederate paperwork sez James F. and Doyle (son's) were furlowed at the end of the war to be with their dying mother.
