Henry married Emma HAMILTON in 1873 in St Chad's (Church of England), at Rochdale, Lancashire, England (registered in 1873 [March quarter] at Rochdale [district], Rochdale, St Chad [sub-district]). [1] [2]

Henry Hawker was an Assisted Immigrant to Queensland.

At 32, Henry migrated to colonial Australia as an assisted immigrant on the Dunbar Castle, which left London on 1 June 1878 and arrived in Brisbane on 11 September 1878. Accompanying him were his wife Emma, 26 and four year old daughter Edith. [3]
