Mabel was born in 1870 in Malmsbury, Victoria, Australia. She is the daughter of James Hawker and Rosanna Calcutt.
Mabel married Frank William Henson, third son of George Henson, on 24th August 1892 at the Manse, Clarendon Street, South Melbourne.
