Biography

George was born to George Hawker and Margaret Byrne in 1833.^[1]

George married Annie Gardner in 1860 in the district of Shoalhaven^[2] together they had 8 children.

After Annie passed away in Nowra in 1886, George married Henrietta Gill in Sydney in 1888.^[3] Henrietta and George had 2 more children.

He held land on the Richmond River with his son George from at least 1881 ^[4][5]

In March 1872 he was at a public meeting and became a committee member for the establishment of a school at Weogo Flat on the Richmond River. ^[6]

He died in Casino in 1906.^[7]
