George Hawker was born in Yorkshire, England.

George Hawker was born about 1867 in Fenay Bridge, Yorkshire.[1]

The 1871 census shows him as 4 years old, a scholar, living in Halewood, Lancashire with his parents Jane (33) and Samuel Hawker (37, railway labourer) and sisters Florence (13), Sarah Ann (7) and Mary Jane (1).[1]

The 1891 census lists George Hawker as a 23 year old General Labourer living in Higher Ogden, Lancashire with his father (aged 58), sister Mary Jane (21), and brother John (13).[2]

George Hawker married Elizabeth B Chappell (daughter of George Chappell) on 13 June 1898 at St Thomas, Newhey, Lancashire.[3]

The 1901 census taken on 31 March 1901, shows George Hawker as a 35 year old soldier, living at St Margaret And St John, London, Middlesex. [4]

George Hawker’s death was registered in the July-September quarter 1928 at Rochdale, Lancashire.[5] George Hawker was buried on 14 July 1928 at St Thomas, Newhey, Lancashire.[6] He was 60 years old.
