Biography

Tombstone reads aged 47 Y. 2 M. & 14 D.

He served as a Private in Capt. BREWSTER's Company, DOUGLASS' Battalion, Tennessee Partisan Rangers, later to be known as Company L, 11th (HOLMAN's) Reg't. TN. Cav., C.S.A.

He was Paroled as a P.O.W. at McMinnville, Warren Co., TN. on 25 July 1863.

He married in Cannon Co., TN. on 21 July 1863 to Sarah J. POWELL (__ SEP. 1847 - estimated c1935), daughter of William Campbell POWELL and Susan Louisa MELTON.
