Mamie Hawkins was born in 1909 in Leon County, Florida, United States. She was the daughter of Francis Hawkins and Mattie Cofield.
The 1935 Florida state census records Mamie, 24, residing with her parents and siblings in Precinct 14 of Leon County.[1]
The 1940 census lists Mamie, age 30, as widowed and living with her brother's family and siblings in Leon County. She is employed as a full-time employed cook with a third grade elementary education.[2]
She married Charles Franklin in Leon County.
The 1945 Florida state census records Mamie, 35, and husband in Precinct 6A of Leon County.[3]
Mammie Franklin passed away in 1948 in Leon County, Florida.[4] She is buried in the DeSoto Field Cemetery in Leon County.[5] A grave marker identifies her burial spot.[6]
