"John Hawkins w 1654, as a mariner from Boston Mass. where he m. on 15 Sept. 15 1654, Sasrah , widow of Humphret Darmill (Savage Gen. Dist. of New England; 2:383 Noyes et al, Gen Dist of Maine ad New Hampshire, pp 181-182 . John Hawkins formerly of New England mariner, transported himselt to Md. in 1651 and assigned his 100 acres head :right to Giles Blake; the assigement was renewed on 2 May 1653 (Md. Patent Liber ABH 316.

In New York on 30 March 1671, Sarah Hawkins was appointed admnx. of the est. of her late husband, John Hawkins late a resident of Elk Rivert MD. Will , N.Y. City Surrodate's Office.
