Charity was born in 1782 in Fireplace, Suffolk, New York. She was the daughter of Joseph Hawkins and Abigail (Hawkins) Hawkins.^[1]

When Charity was about 23 she married Daniel Ruland in about 1805. The couple had 6 children: Hannah Ruland, Charlotte Ruland, Mehitable Ruland, Huldah G. Ruland, Harriet Ruland and Daniel Warren Ruland.^[2]

Charity died at the age of about 71 on 2 October 1853 in Speonk, Suffolk, New York.^[1]

Charity was born about 1781. She was the daughter of Joseph Hawkins and Abigail Hawkins. She passed away in 1853. ^[3]
