Abraham served in the American Revolution. He enlisted in 1777 as a private in Captain Daniel Jewett's company in Putney, Vermont. He also served as an Indian spy in Captain Allen's company in Levi Goodening's Rangers. Abraham served at the Battle of Bennington on 16 August 1777.[1][2]
He passed away in 1849.[4] Abraham Hawkins was mentioned on a memorial in Sugar Hill Cemetery, Wallingford, Rutland County, Vermont, United States with a death date of 10 May 1849.[5]
