James Hawkins was born in 1816.
In 1840 he married Mary Osland in Wilsford, Wiltshire, England. [1]
He passed away in 1902 in Dunolly, Victoria. He was 86 years old. [2]
It is believed this James Hawkins was the same one who arrived in the South Australian Colony on the Forfarshire in 1848., "James Hawkins, wife, and two children" being James Hawkins, wife Mary (Osland) Hawkins, with children Isaac Hawkins and Ellen Hawkins [3]
