DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Edward by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Edward:

My sources are census, or family trees found online. I believe you are the man I corresponded with on this tree from Colorado. I did find information in Hampshire Co. genealogy -- Henry T. Hawkins farmer of Bloomery, son Ephraim and Eliz. Hawkins; m. Louisa d of Christopher and Mary Slonaker. My gr.grandfather when widowed in same area, married Slonaker --- so we are double related. Henry and and Louisa children: Martha V.; Clara B.,Mary F, Annie L; Amanda J. Henry was veteran of Civil war for Confederate.

Question--- have you found any information on parents of Ephraim???? Thanks Vivian
