Biography

Abraham Hawkins was born on June 15 or June 17, 1772.[1] He was the son of Abraham Hawkins and Susannah Anna (Menlove) Hawkins.

He married Sarah Dowell in 1798. [2]

They had 12 children. Sarah died in 1823.

Abraham married (2) Margaret Peggy Walls on 28 September 1824 in Lawrence, Indiana, United States.[3]

They had 9 children.

He passed away in 1844, after his last child was born in 1843. He was buried in Hawkins Cemetery in Lawrence, Indiana, United States.[1] Note: original gravestone says he died age 72 years, 7 months and 2_ days. The stone is broken through the 2_ days portion, it looks like either 25 or 27. If it's 25 days, then he was born 17 Jun 1772. If it's 27 days, then he was born 15 Jun 1772.

Abraham was born in 1772. He passed away in 1844. [4]

Hawkins-17265 and Hawkins-903 appear to represent the same person because: I apoligize. I'm new and I have made this error and am trying to correct it. I have one more to correct, as well- Abraham Hawkins, Sr. was entered incorrectly as a new profile. I'm not sure how I missed this, though it was one of my first few entries. I have made an effort to be very careful about these existing profiles, but apparently missed an initial few. Thank you for your patience and help.
