Biography

Michael was born in 1796 Knott Houses Grasmere Westmorland and chr. on the 19th Jan 1797. He is the son of William Hawkrigg and Sarah Pearson.

He married Sarah Green on the 21st April 1827 at Ambleside.^[1]They had five children and Michael was a stonemason/ waller. ^[2][3][4]

Sarah was buried 17th Nov 1856 aged 61 and Michael was buried 8th April 1870 aged 74 both at Ambleside.^[5][6]
