Biography

Clementina was born on 16 July 1860 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, the daughter of James Hawley^[1][2][3] and Frances "Fanny" Aitken.^[4] (see Research Notes) Their family lived in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.^[5][6]

Clementina moved to Canada in 1878.^[7][8]

Clementina (age 19) married William Templeton (age 26) in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts on 2 October 1879.^[2] and had 4 children with him. Their children born in Ontario were:

• William Arthur Templeton, born on 10 Aug 1880^[9]
• Maud Templeton, born on 8 October 1881^[10][11][12]

In 1881, the Templeton household in Belleville, Ontario consisted of: William, aged 28 and a grocer, Clemmina, aged 20, William G. (aged 8 months), and William J Hawley aged 7 (probably Clemmina's brother.)^[13]

By 1888, they had moved to British Columbia where their remaining children were born:

Clementina married to Charles Parsons^[3] in Vancouver, British Columbia on 31 Dec 1906.^[4] In 1911, their family lived at 1341 Beach Ave. in Vancouver, British Columbia.^[8]

Clementina died (age 82) on 7 February 1943 in Vancouver, British Columbia.^[3]

Clementina is commemorated on the family memorial in Mountain View Cemetery in Vancouver, British Columbia^[18]
