Mary Elizabeth HAWLEY was born about 1821 in Sampson, North Carolina. Her father may have been Reddick Holley or Hawley, and her brother, Roland, both of whom appear in her household with husband Jesse or Jessie Peters.[1] If her parents are correctly identified, they are found in Johnston County, North Carolina in the 1850 census: Reddick and Silvania Holley, along with two apparent siblings of Mary.[2]
Among children of Ms Hawley and husband Jesse Peters were:
George W PETERS[1][3] (1848-1927),[4] who married Margaret M Spell[5]
She died about 1880 in Sampson, North Carolina (see also: Find A Grave: Memorial #116727450).
Research Notes
