Note: Terrell died of pneumonia on April 30, 1856, near Kossuth, Mississippi and was buried in the center of the Cumberland Presbyterian Churchyard. Over his grave there is a simple marble slab, evidently put there by the Masons for at the top of the stone is the Masoic emblem, and just beneath this emblem is engraved the name T. C. Hawthorne, with no dates.
This church is located about four miles from Kossuth.
