Biography
William Hawthorne was born in 1883, the son of farmer Robert Hawthorne and his wife Annabella Anderson.[1] He was born in the townland of Carsonstown, Saintfield parish, Co Down.
In the 1901 Census, the family was living in Carsonstown.[2] All the members were Presbyterian and described as born in Co Down.
