Mr. James Davis (J.D.) Hawthorne, age 69, of Crogan St., Lawrenceville, Ga., passed away April 2, 1981.

Funeral service will be held Saturday morning, April 4, at 11 o'clock at First Baptist Church, Lawrenceville. Rev. W.C. Corley officiating; interment Shawdowlawn Cemetery. Members of the Walter Alford Sunday School Class, Directors of the Brand Banking Co. and Lawrenceville Kiwanis Club will serve as honorary escort. In lieu of flowers, make contributions to the First Baptist Church of Lawrenceville. Tom M. Wages Funeral Service Inc., Lawrenceville.

Miss Hurst Weds James D. Hawthorn

Lawrenceville, Ga., July 3.--Miss Emma Alice Hurst became the bride of James David Hawthorn, of Auburn, at a ceremony held in A'lanta June 23, Rev. L. E. Smith reading the service in the presence of immediate relatives.

The bride wore a suit of copen blue with accessories of navy. Her flowers were a shoulder spray of sweetheart roses and valley lilies. She is the youngest daughter of William R. and the late Mrs. Pearl Jordan Hurst, of Lawrenceville, and is a graduate of the Lawrenceville High School and Southern Business College.

Mr. Hawthorn is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hawthorn, of Auburn. He is a graduate of the Winder High School and a commercial school. After a wedding trip the couple will reside in Lawrenceville.
