Eliza was born in Straid, Ballynure on the 7 July 1871 to Thomas Hawthorn and Margaret Jenkins. ^{[1] [2]}

Eliza 'Lizzie' Hawthorne was born on 7 Jul 1871 in Larne, Ireland to Thomas Hawthorne and Margaret Jenkins.^[3] She died of heart disease on 10 Nov 1898 in Larne, Ireland. Her father Thomas was a witness on her death record.^[4]
