Biography
Frances was born in 1892 in Strabane. [1]
In 1901 the family were living in Strabane, Thomas 42, cattle dealer, his wife Isabella 38, and their children William 13, Thomas 11, Frances 9, Isabella 8, John James 6, Jane Dinnin, 4, Elizabeth 3 and Matilda 1. [2]
Research Notes
Frances and Isabella are not shown in the family home by the time of the 1911 Census the Hawthorne family had moved to Ballymagorry, Thomas 52, farm Stewart, his wife Isabella 47, and their children, William 21 a rigger, Thomas 20 a shop assistant, John James 14, Jane Dinnen 13, Elizabeth 12, Martha 11 and Barbara Ann 8. Thomas and Isabella had been married 25 years with 11 children 10 alive. All born Co Tyrone [3]
