OBITUARY Mr. James H. Hay With the sudden death of Mr.James Herbert Hay on Sunday night Eugowra lost another very well-known and respected resident. Eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs George James Hay, he was in his 68th year. He was born at Cranbury and had resided in the Canowindra-Eugowra district all his life. He came to reside in Eugowra about 35 years ago and was engaged in sawmilling all that time and was still actively carrying on the business to the time of his death. He was interested in his church and had for years been a church warden and Rector's Warden in St. Matthew's Church of England, Eugowra. He was also one of the trustees of the local School of Arts. He married Miss Eileen Goodacre, of Canowindra, and beside his wife leaves two sons and a daughter. They are Ronald Jack, Alan Herbert and Lorna Jean,(Mrs. V. Comery). Deceased also leave five grandchildren, while four sisters and one brother also survive him. The funeral, which was very largely attended, especially by Eugowra residents, moved to the C. of E. portion of the Canowindra cemetery after service in the Church of England, Canowindra. Rev. O. Miller, of Eugowra, officiated.
