Biography

Caroline was born in 1820. She was the daughter of James Hay and Lady Mary Ramsay.

She married widower George Clerk Arbuthnot (son of Sir William Arbuthnot, 1st Bt. and Anne Alves) on 10 January 1845 at Linden College, Lasswade, Midlothian, Scotland.^[2]

They had four children.

Her husband died in 1876.

Caroline died on 9 August 1911.
