Catherine Ellen Hayden was born on April 30, 1887 in Toowoomba, Colony of Queensland, daughter of Patrick John Hayden (1857–1930) and Catherine Eleanor Wilkes (1858–1936).^[1]

Catherine died on May 7, 1976 in Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, aged 89. She was buried in Oakey Cemetery, Oakey, Toowoomba Region, Queensland.^{[2] [3]}
