My information (much of which was provided by my grandmother, Josie Pitts Schouten) matches yours for George Haydon's probate record. George died intestate and the settlement of his estate lists his legatees (since he died intestate this would be his wife, if still living, and his children). The list includes all of his children except George, Jr. (who had apparently already died). It also states that Amy married John Hutchison and Elizabeth married Thomas Halsel. I show Elizabeth was William Heydon's twin sister and shares his birth date of 7 August 1777.
I'm descended from Elizabeth's brother, James Heydon, as follows:
Gen. 1: James Heydon married Nancy Leachman
Gen. 2: William Heydon married Margaret Devin
Gen. 3: William Thomas Heydon married Caroline Lower
Gen. 4: Emma Heydon married Robert Pitts
Gen. 5: Josie Pitts married Theodore Schouten
Gen. 6: Betty Schouten married Jesse Tevis
Gen. 7: Cheryl Tevis (that's me!)
Until recently, I had been led to believe that George Haydon married a Mary (possibly an Elliott) and was the son of George Haydon and Charity (possibly Shircliffe) of Saint Mary's County,Maryland. However, I had the Saint Mary's County Historical Society do some research for me and they provided information that the George who married Mary had entirely different children from the George who died in Clark County, Kentucky. I see you show that the George in Clark County married a Ginny. Do you know anything about Ginny? Or, where George was before coming to Clark County? (I do know that Nancy Leachman who married James Heydon was from Prince William County, Virginia and they supposedly married there. So, it's possible the Heydons were there before moving to Clark County.)
Any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Also, if I can assist you in anyway, please let me know. Thank you, Cheryl Tevis
