- Ruby's Death Notice reads:
- "FIRBANK, Ruby Frances (nee Hayes) - June 16, 1951 at St. Vincent's Hospital, dearly beloved wife of Nathan (Nat) Firbank and loved mother of Agnes (Mrs. Gunton, deceased), Nat and Norma (Mrs. Foley) and mother-in-law of William Gunton, Olive and Jack and grandmother of Gary, Norman, Brian, Maureen, Ann, Roslyn, Cheryl, Lynette and John, aged 60 years. RIP." After a Service at St. John's Church, Auburn she was buried at Rookwood (Section M2, Row 18, Plot 1492)
