Maria (Hayes) Delaney was born in Ireland.

Mary was born 26 Feb 1844.^[1][2][3]

She married Martin Delaney in 1873.^[4][5]

Mary died at age 82 of old age on 27 Oct 1927 with her son John at her side^[6].

Research Notes

Mary is first known through son Patrick's marriage^[7] but only by first name. The same document gives the name of the father - Martin. The birth record for Patrick in Kerry reveals Mary's maiden name^[8]. Birth records from younger children such as John^[9], Ellen^[10], and James^[11] all agree.

Mary's middle name is listed on son Martin's birth register entry.
