Hays-1220 and Hayes-9124 appear to represent the same person because: This is very confusing. These are my Hays ancestors.

Not Hayes. Ally Hays was named after her father's mother Alse (Ally) Hunter Hays married to Nicholas Hays. She married the William Hays, the son of her uncle James Hays. There is no A;;ey and no Hayes. This is the same person, please consider a merge.
