He married Susannah Holland on 15 March 1868 in Manchester Cathedral. [3]
John died aged 67 in Gorton on 5 April 1914. [4] His death was registered in in Chorlton, Lancashire. [5]
He was buried on 9 April 1914 at Gorton Cemetery (public grave).
