Her husband, Grady used to call her Ed C. She was a homemaker and helped with the farm chores. She was known for her coconut cake, cornbread and sweet tea. She was a quiet, religious woman and a good mother.

Buried at Smotherman Cemetery, Midland Community. Rev. Melvin Collins and Rev. Mark Hall officiated.
