Biography

Martha was born in 1832. She was the daughter of Solomon Haynes and Roxanna Kees.

Martha married Eliphalet Steele Scofield. They had one daughter - Medora Roxanna Scofield, born in 1848.

They were on the census in Utica, Oneida, New York in 1850.^[1]

Eliphalet passed away before 1860.

Her second husband was Richard Renssaeler Foote. They were in Lake, Cook county, Illinois in 1870 with Medora (listed as "Dora".)^[2] In 1880, they were in Hyde Park, Cook, Illinois.^[3]

They were in Auburndale, Polk, Florida in 1900.^[4] Richard passed away in 1906; in 1910, she was living with two granddaughters - M. M. Van Fleet and Lois Van Fleet.^[5]

She passed away in 1916 and was buried in Auburndale cemetery in Auburndale.^[6]
