I have been researching the profile of another Abigail Haynes with a similar background. I think the two have been conflated and the spouses and children attached to the opposite Abigail's. Abigail Abigail (Haynes) Nash (1724-1805) was born in Brimfield. I haven't found a birth record for the other Abigail. There is a marriage record for Job Nash of Weymouth to an Abigail Hayns of Braintree in Braintree. It seems that the ties to Brimfield with Abigail born in Brimfield, the marriage to Edward Webber in Brimfield and the Webber children being born in Brimfield, would lead to Abigail Abigail (Hayns) Webber (abt.1720-1754) being the wife of Job Nash (1711-1773) and the mother of the Nash children. Abigail Abigail (Haynes) Nash (1724-1805) being the wife of Edward Webber (bef.1724-1764) and the mother of the Webber children.
Family Search shows two separate Abigail Haynes. One (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/KNW8-QTQ) born in Norfolk, Massachusetts on 6 October 1718, died 19 January 1805 in Weymouth, Norfolk, Massachusetts. She was wife of Job Nash with unknown parents. The other Abigail Haynes (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/KCCV-JCT) was born in Brimfield, Hampden, Massachusetts on 31 May 1724, died 18 February 1754 in Brimfield, Hampden, Massachusetts. This Abigail's parents are listed as Peter and Love Haynes, also from Brimfield. Please review Haynes-505 to confirm the information is correct
Thank you for bringing this issue up, Brian. I adopted this profile and wasn't aware. There are 2 Abigail Haynes profiles on WikiTree also. Abigail (Hayns) Webber (abt.1720-) , whom there is an undated marriage record to Edward Webber.and a definite record for Abigail Webber's death. No birth record. Abigail (Haynes) Nash (1724-1805). has a definite birth record and marriage record. No death record. The main issue is, 2 Abigails and 2 marriages. Which Abigail married which spouse? I'll work on it. There are some family and local bio's mentioned to look at. Thanks again.
Hi Faylene, I am working on importing some additional Haynes and found a good source to Abigail Haynes born in Brimfield, MA. It is the records for Brimfield. Her birth, marriage, and death information are listed in this. Attached is link to her marriage to Edward Webber. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSM7-59MB-C?i=104.
I read at the beginning of the Brimfield record a person donated a large some of money to collate these early MA records. There may be a similar record book for Weymouth, MA.
Let me know if I can be of further help. Regards, Brian Roth
Thank you, Brian. Our work on Abigail Haynes is crossing paths. I do have the records from archive.org e-books. I put the citations on the respective profiles. The question was 1 Abigail has no birth record and there are 2 marriage records (1 without a date). Seeing all three records, b. Abigail Haynes, m. Haynes-Webber, and d. Abigail Webber (w of Edward), are all in Brimfield. It is leading me to conclude that Abigail Haynes (daughter of Peter and Love Sherman Haynes is the wife of Edward Webber. Leaving the other Abigail (of Braintree) to be the wife of Job Nash (of Weymouth). If so, the 2 Abigail's need to be switched and attached to their correct spouses' It also means I need to put the corresponding citations on the respective profiles Do you agree?
UPDATE: The birth record for Abigail (Hayns) Nash (1718-1805) has been found. Surname was (sic HEINS).
