Biography

The youngest child was born when his mother was 52 years old. There were probably other children.

Martha Haynes' Grandfather Haynes was a wealthy, New Hampshire, ship owner and merchant, owning several vessels in the Coast and West India trade. Elijah Parker and Martha Haynes were married at the close of the Revolution.

Martha was apparently present in the 1830 census by Oct 1833 Elijah rewed to the widow Freelove (Townsend)Ballard, likely the widow of Caleb Ballard.
