Biography
Birth and Origins
Frederick William Haynes was born 6 July 1877, Portsea Island, Hampshire, England,[1] son of William Patterson Haynes and Mary Carveth.
In the 1891 England and Wales Census, Wm Pattn Hayne (46, married, head, Staff Commander, b. Cornwall, England) lived at The Thicket, Portsea, Hampshire, England, Registration District Portsea Island with his wife, Mary Hayne (43, b. Cornwall, England), and their children, Wm Fredk Hayne (13, Hampshire, England), Mary Ethel Hayne, (8, b. Dorsetshire, England) and Ewart Temple Hayne (4, Hampshire, England) and servants, Emily Kuch (20, Dorsetshire, England) and Emily Snook (20, Dorsetshire, England)[2]
In the 1901 England and Wales Census, William F Haynes (23, single, Asst Paymaster, b. Portsmouth, Hampshire) was crew with Royal Navy at Sea and in ports abroad (on the Warspite)[3]

He married Matilda Winifred Wilkinson on 2 Jun 1909 at Fisherwick, Belfast, Ireland
Frederick William Haynes (Paymaster, of Plymouth, son of William Patterson Hoynes, staff captain Royal Navy) married Matilda Winifred Wilkinson (daughter of John Wilkinson, Merchant) on 2 June 1909 at Fisherwick, Belfast, Ireland. Witnesses were Harold Cyril Rodney Johnson, Mary Ethel Hoynes, Robert Anderson Lord Mayor. [4]

Occupation
He was a paymaster in the Royal Navy, appointed Paymaster commander in 15 January 1895[7]
