Anne Hayward was a beneficiary of the will of her grandmother, Alice (Judde) Smythe, the will made on 10 Jul 1592[1].

In the will of her mother, Katherine (Smythe) Scott, the will being made in Jan 1616/1617, she was described as 'my daughter Crayford', widow[2].

In the visitation of Kent, 1619-1621, she was recorded as Ann, the wife of Edward Crayford, and the daughter of Rowland Hayward. There were five children recorded of the marriage between Ann and Edward, namely: William (aged 10); George (aged 8); Richard (aged 6); John; and Anne[3].
