Biography

Mary Ann Hayward was born on 28 May 1829 in Goshen, Albert, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of James Hayward (1785 - 1858) and Elizabeth (Stevens) Hayward (~1790 - ~1869).

Her brother was Humphrey Hayward (1823 - >1901).

Mary married Zebedee Emmons Graves (born in Goshen on 7 Feb 1828; died in Gladside, Kent County, New Brunswick on 19 May 1907), son of William Graves and Susan Ann Strover, on 15 Mar 1853 in Goshen Parish, Albert. Their children were:

  1. Matilda Jane Graves (1853 - 1934)
  2. Levi Marshall Graves (~1856 - 1936)
  3. Thomas E Graves (1863 - )
  4. Laura Evelyn (Graves) Coates (1871 - 1953).

Mary died about Mar 1918 in Gladside aged ~88. She is buried in Gladeside Cemetery, Gladeside, New Brunswick.[1]
